Since finishing year 12 in 1983 Upholstery has been the biggest passion of my life. Serving an apprenticeship at Decor Upholstery and attending Tafe NSW I quickly learnt the many skills this trade requires. When 5 enjoyable years ended in late 1988, family commitments had me relocating to the Central Coast. I then served nearly 3 years at Strata Lounges. In this time I also set up a business called C & K Upholstery Services.
My love of teaching (I have also coached numerous sports at all levels) became a reality when I landed a part time teaching job at Tafe NSW in 1991. Also at this time I served several years at Peter Cragg's Antiques. By this stage I had worked in all aspects of the trade. In 2006 I was employed as a full time teacher at Tafe. I sold C & K Upholstery but still did the odd job to stay in touch with the trade.
In 2014 I was looking for a change. This resulted in The Recovery Ward being open for business.
